A representative from NC State will be visiting on March 1st at 12:00p. She will be here to present on the university and answer any questions that you may have. If you are interested in attending this, you MUST sign up in the counseling office. Only students with passes will be allowed to attend the interest session.
The National Institute of American History and Democracy (NIAHD) in partnership with William & Mary College and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation invites students to apply to the
NIAHD Pre-College Summer Program in Early American History.
The ACT Pre Session hosted at JF Webb has been rescheduled to Saturday, February 18th from 9am-1pm. Trio is providing Sylvan Learning Tutors to assist students with their ACT needs. Students MUST register with Ms. Westbrook before attending. Students who attend the workshop will receive a FREE ACT Prep book. Please bring a calculator and snack with you to this session! College Application Week is next week, Nov 14-18! CFNC.org will allow you to apply for FREE to select colleges across North Carolina. To celebrate CAW, South Granville will be having a Spirit Week! We will also have multiple contests with AWESOME prizes! All students may participate in CAW Spirit Week. Seniors will be given a pass to come to the media center to apply to at least one college for free. We will have a "photo booth" set up so that students can take a picture with a pennant of the college they applied to!

SGHS is hosting the CACRAO College Fair on Wednesday, September 19th. This is open to Seniors and Juniors. There will be 71 colleges in attendance. If you are interested, please sign up in the Counseling Office. Only students with a pass will be admitted into the College Fair. If you have any questions, feel free to email me!

The Hugh O'Brian Youth (HOBY) Leadership Program is looking for sophomores with strong leadership skills and potential to participate in a State Leadership Seminar. All sophomores may apply. One student will be selected to attend the seminar. The cost of the seminar will be funded by South Granville High School.
If you are interested, complete a 100 word essay on the following topic:
"Please describe the most rewarding and challenging aspect of being a leader in your school and community."
This is due by November 9th!
